Catte Strategy - Master the 6-Card Game 🧠
1. The Art of "Tung" and "Thiep" (Playing & Folding)
In Catte, the first 4 rounds determine if you survive.
- Prioritize Keeping Suits: Try to keep at least one high card of each suit if possible to avoid being blocked.
- Sacrifice Small Cards: Use small cards to "Thiep" (fold face down) strategically to save your high cards for the final rounds.
2. Memorizing Played Cards
- Track the Aces: Knowing which Aces have been played is crucial. If an Ace of a suit is gone, the King becomes the boss.
- Count the Suits: If many cards of a specific suit have been played, the remaining ones are likely in one player's hand or the deck (if playing with < 6 players).
3. The "Chung" Round Strategy
The 5th and 6th rounds are where the winner is decided.
- The "Chung" (Leader): If you lead the 5th round, play a suit that you believe others are weak in, or play a high card to force them to use their trump.
- Defending: If you are defending, decide whether to capture the "Chung" to lead the final round or save your best card for the showdown.
4. Quick Tips
- Don't hold onto a single suit if you have small cards; you'll get blocked easily.
- Watch the player to your left; your goal is to block them if possible.
