Reading the Table
Track the Discard Pile
The discard pile is a goldmine of information. Every card played tells you something about the player who played it.
What to observe:
- Suit changes: If a player plays a heart, then someone changes to clubs, and that player immediately draws — they likely lack clubs
- Rank patterns: If several cards of one rank appear early, players are unlikely to hold more of that rank
- When eights appear: The suit chosen after an 8 reveals what the player wanted to play
Count Cards Casually
You do not need perfect memory. Just track these essentials:
- How many 8s have you seen? There are 4 total. Knowing how many remain tells you how much wild power is still out there.
