1. Sort Your Hand by Strategy, Not Just by Color
Most beginners sort their hand by color (all Red together, all Green together). This is a start, but experienced players organize differently.
Better sorting method:
Group 1: Completed melds (pairs, triples, runs)
Group 2: Near-complete melds (one card away)
Group 3: Connected cards (could form melds with the right draw)
Group 4: Isolated singles (discard candidates)
Why this works: You can instantly see how close you are to winning and which cards to prioritize discarding. You also avoid accidentally breaking a potential meld when discarding under time pressure.
